I’ve had this blog idea in my back pocket for a while and I believe this is the day I’m going to write it.
I heard about a website. A crazy one. And I’m not going to pretend that I really understand what’s going on here.
Okay, go ahead and click on this web address: yyyyyyy.info. Good job. Now make sure you’re closed out of that window and click this one yyyyyyy.info. Notice a difference? And, just for fun, go ahead and click it one more time yyyyyyy.info.
Yeah, I know…what the sh*t, right???

What you just clicked is hands-down one of the most messed up websites I’ve ever seen (I realize there’s way worse stuff out there but I’m a prude and I’m not amused by freaky porn).
Normally, I would launch into some kind of arty description and explanation of this website. The best I can do is to say that if schizophrenia was a
website, this would be it.
It’s received almost 2000 diggs on digg.com with the header, “Gibberish or HTML art?” I initially heard about yyyyyyy.info at a bar, of all places.
So Gibberish or HTML art? That’s a really good question. I’m going to say it’s both.
If you click on one of the links, you’ll see this. It’s an on-line gallery of artist Michael Guidetti’s works. Guidetti got his BFA at the California College of the Arts in San Francisco.
I assume he’s responsible for this website. So I recently emailed him with a series of who, what, when where and why (for the love of God, WHY????) questions. I’m still in the dark because that cheeky jerk replied with a series of jpegs that I’ve generously pasted in this blog for you to experience.
So, if that’s how he’s going to play it, here’s my response:
