Beanie Babies, porcelain figurines, bad decisions — we’ve all acquired at least a few things over the years. That being said, some collections are more interesting than others. Works gathered over time become works gathered as an art. Such is the theme for “These Are a Few of My Favorite Things,” the final exhibition curated by ASU Art Museum’s ceramics curator, Peter Held.

“These are a Few of My Favorite Things” will be on view at the ASU Art Museum Ceramics Research Center Saturday, July 19, through Saturday, October 4.
Currently Held is looking for local creatives whose collections of curiosities, memorabilia, and other trinkets would complement the exhibition. “These are a Few of My Favorite Things” seeks to highlight people’s passions and obsessions with the particular items we choose to surround ourselves with.
