Spring Break might be around the corner, but local filmmaker Saxon Richardson is busy finishing up a couple college applications.
Since creating his last film, Send Greener Grass Uphill, which won the “Arizona Prize” at the annual ASU Art Museum Short Film Festival, he directed and produced The Fortunate Life.

The short film will be sent off, along with a few nice resumes (and a stellar GPA) to film programs at the University of Southern California, Chapman University, and the San Francisco Art Institute.
The high school senior says his last year’s been full of applications and testing; a few notables include giving up skateboarding (the subject of his last film) to gear up for volleyball season and planning a kickass summer for after graduation.
