Since there’s really no better accessory than a cocktail in your hand, each week brings you a tasty adult beverage from one of our favorite drinking establishments, complete with recipe. This week: The Bocce Baller at The Vig Uptown.
The Crown Royal-based Bocce Baller at The Vig Uptown is not your grandfather’s whiskey. Named for the bocce ball court out back, where a drink in hand is a requisite, this cocktail tastes more like a Georgia peach than a Manhattan. Forget a whiskey sour, we’ll take our whiskey sweet.

Ingredients
2 oz. Crown Royal
1.5 oz. Peach Schnapps
Splash pineapple juice
Splash cranberry juice
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake vigorously. Strain contents into a martini glass and garnish with a “bocce ball” cherry.
Work on your aim and brush up on your balancing act, because this is one refreshing summer cocktail you won’t want to spill mid-toss.
Bonus: Grab any “Vignature” cocktail for $5 (normally $9) and catch the live styling of DJ Proper Villain and Bob on trumpet after 8 p.m. Wednesdays. No bocce ball, but pretty chill nonetheless.
