For most of us, our daily lunch break is hardly glamorous, much less cultured. Unless, of course, you packed some aged Gouda. Which is why the Herberger Theater Center, 222 East Monroe Street, is encouraging patrons to “think outside the lunch box” with its Lunch Time Theater series. Six bucks buys you a far more engaging out-of-office experience than yet another lunch with that blowhard from human relations. Catered lunches are available, or you can bring your own eats. Point is, would you rather take in Lost Boys Found, a heartwarming play written by Valley resident Julie Amparano Garcia about the Lost Boys of Sudan, thereby upending the doldrums of a typical Tuesday, or find yourself yet again at the ass-end of an inconceivably long line at Quiznos? Exactly.
Lost Boys Found starts at 12:10 pm on Tuesday, May 6. Performances continue through Thursday, May 15. Visit www.herbergertheater.org or call 602-254-7399 for details.
