$30,000

Since my last post about urban chickens, our little babies have become stinky, young adult chickens. And it’s time they move out of the house and into a coop in the back yard.

They grow up so fast.

As we’re busy setting up for the big move, the Phoenix Permaculture Guild is on the lookout for folks with fantastic coops to show off during the 2010 Tour de Coops.

If you have chickens and a coop (and you wouldn’t mind showing it off to a bunch of strangers), check the website to apply. The application is quite simple — it just asks a bunch of questions about your chickens, their coop, and your yard.

Application deadline is October 15.

The 2010 Tour de Coops is schedule for December 4. The self-guided tour will feature over a dozen coops in the greater Phoenix area.
