It’s hard to be terrible in the Arena Football League. Salaries are essentially the same for every team and player, the league is small enough to allow for a decent sized talent base, and the rules of the game are slanted heavily in favor of underdogs. Still, the Orlando Predators continue to find ways to beat the system. After finishing last season with a franchise-worst 4-12 record, the Predators replaced their coach, quarterback, and receiving corps. The team then proceeded to storm out to a 0-3 start that was headlined by a gruesome thirty-point loss at home.
It’s safe to say that the defending-champion Arizona Rattlers will be a heavy favorite when they host the Predators at US Airways Center, 201 East Jefferson Street. Even still, anything can happen in an underdog-friendly sport.
