Beyonce, Gwen Stefani and U2’s Bono all have their own clothing labels, so it’s no surprise that the worlds of music and fashion were destined for a local intersection. And what better place to host such a pairing than at the Musical Instrument Museum, an eclectic space celebrating quirky music makers from around the world.
The museum’s courtyard will be transformed into a catwalk for the Fashion Rocks MIM Show, which features more than 60 looks from international designers, organized and combined into flawless couture looks by local stylists. Keeping with the MIM’s celebration of music instruments from around the world, each runway show will have a cultural theme that carries through the music and design, based on the designer’s home country.
The event culminates in a designer after-party at the nearby Blue Martini, 5455 East High Street.
