June’s host to more than 30 “national holidays,” including the ever-important National Doughnut Day, Hug Your Cat Day, and today’s very fitting International Panic Day.
Fortunately, if you’re a skater, there’s no need for panic. In fact, this week’s going to be pretty sweet thanks to Cowtown Skateboards and a huge load of swag.
This Thursday, board fiends are encouraged to gather at the Cowotown on Central Avenue and Camelback Road for International Go Skateboarding Day. The event kicks off around 6 p.m. and will feature a 24-foot mini ramp, free pizza, free drinks, and in true Go Skateboarding Day fashion, a massive product toss.
The annual event’s an opportunity to size up your gear, maybe grab some new trucks and wheels, and get to boarding in the company of some friendly competition.

Employees say Monster Energy reps will be in attendance to fuel the late-night movie session and to give skateboard fans an extra jump during the product toss, which will include enough gear, merch, and eye candy to keep you busy until the panic sets in again next summer.
Cowtown is at 5024 North Central Avenue. For more info, check out the shop’s website … and to tide you over, check out the slow motion action below:
