At this time last year, most pundits predicted that the Phoenix Coyotes be a mess both on and off the ice. But against all odds, they banded together and made an improbable playoff run that would have made Ricky “Wild Thing” Vaughn proud.
This season, the Coyotes appear to be the model of stability, which is scary. While they’re poised to make another postseason push, you have to wonder if PHX will lose its competitive edge now that they’re not the underdogs. Guess we shall see.
The Valley gets its first hints as to what the 2010-2011 season has in store when the Desert Dogs play their preseason home opener against the Los Angeles Kings.
