Comedians are underappreciated. Even though they have impeccable timing, perfect delivery, and lightning-fast wit, they’re never taken seriously as actors unless they cash in and go dramatic. Shameful.

Comedian David Cross falls in this underrated category. The guy pulled double duty as a comic writer and actor in the early ’90s, delivering funny lines for The Ben Stiller Show and the HBO sketch-comedy series Mr. Show with Bob and David. Since then, he’s appeared in Crank Yankers, Just Shoot Me!, King of the Hill, Men in Black and Men in Black II, The Drew Carey Show, and, most notably, as Tobias Funke on Arrested Development.

Give this funny man the credit he deserves by seeing him at the Orpheum Theatre.
