This idea came from one of those Pinterest pins that offer you the entire tutorial all at once. Check it out. It’s been on my list for a while, but was afraid to ruin a nice piece of art. I finally realized that I could use an abandoned collage I made a couple of years ago.

Supplies: painted canvas – anything works vinyl letters – I found them at Target for about $3 acrylic paint in desired color – I used “Sea Lavender” by Martha Stewart paint brush an awesome quote

Arrange the words onto your painting/background. The vinyl letters are repositionable so don’t worry too much about getting it perfect right away.

Pour paint all over your picture. Spread the paint.

$30,000

Wait for it to dry completely, then peel the letters off. Because I was using a collage and not a painting (as recommeded in the tutorial) I had a little trouble with the paint peeling off with the vinyl letters. An x-acto knife in hand helps with this, should you have the same issue.

MAGIC!
