Adam Dumper admits to having a bit of a dilemma whilst planning The Blunt Club’s 11th Anniversary Party. How do you top last year’s phenomenal bash, which marked a decade of existence for the hip-hop weekly and included a pair of epic fetes over two nights and a slew of unforgettable performances?

The short answer, the artist and hip-hop promoter says, is that you don’t. Instead, you do something unique, like bringing in alternative hip-hopper Peanut Butter Wolf for his first-ever gig at Blunt Club. “There’s no way we could top last year,” Dumper says. “So when Universatile Music hit me up at just the right time, I was like, ‘Peanut Butter Wolf? Let’s do it.’”

The Bay Area hip-hop artist and producer will perform a special Video DJ set during the anniversary party, which takes place on Thursday, May 16, at Yucca Tap Room, 29 West Southern Avenue in Tempe. Blunt Club cohorts DJ Cocoe and DJ Organic will also stage spin gigs, while Pickster One will sling tracks, Dumper will dispense live art, and Mouse Powell will emcee.
