Regardless of gender or sexual orientation, take two steps into any gay bar and you’re bound to meet some friendly people and make a friend (benefits pending) or two. The gay community is a strong one that happens to know how to have a great time — turn on any episode of One Girl Five Gays for evidence. Allies and members of the LGBT community are encouraged to sip wine and nosh on complimentary appetizers at ONE Community’s First Monday event. Guests are encouraged to network, make friends, and, above all, show solidarity in the gay community.
