Dear Phoenician, did you know that autumn (the season between summer and winter) can also be called fall?
Did we just blow your mind? If so, all we gotta say is, “le sigh.”
This weekend, Desert Botanical Garden is giving us a seasonal reminder with its annual Fall Plant Sale. It’s true that we don’t score sexy seasonal hints like the rest of the Northern Hemisphere – like sweater weather and magically morphing leaves – but DBG does usher in autumn (remember, autumn is synonymous with fall) by offering hundreds of arid-adapting plants available for purchase. We promise that succulents will be the only suck-oriented word being thrown around on the garden grounds during this shindig that also features answer-ready horticulturalists and a used book sale.
