It’s hard to imagine the end of the 20th century without globetrotting Brit Robin Leach to give us a window into the decadent tastes of the fabulously wealthy and cultural elite. Lunch Time Theater’s Secrets of the Rich and Famous gives us a glimpse of the well-to-do prior to the 1900s on Wednesday, June 11.
In a salon-style shindig in a European castle, figures such as Lucrezia Borgia, Catherine de’ Medici, and Queen Elizabeth I gather to share the skinny on the scandals of their day. We personally can’t wait for Catherine the Great, the Russian empress of the 18th century, to clear the air and get down to the nitty gritty regarding her impressive reign.
Secrets of the Rich and Famous spills the beans at the Kax Stage at Herberger Theater, 222 East Monroe Street. The performance starts at 12:10 p.m., and tickets are $6. Visit www.herbergertheater.org to purchase tickets in advance and for more information.
