The Arizona State women’s soccer team has not advanced past the first round in the NCAA tournament since George W. Bush had strong approval ratings, but the team’s hopes are sky-high this year. The Sun Devils return a corps of starters from the team that finished fourth in the Pac-12, and those starters have led the team to a 4-1 record so far.

The Sun Devils will look to build on that strong performance on Friday at 4:30 p.m. when they host the Boise State Broncos at Sun Devil Soccer Stadium, 655 South Athletes Place in Tempe. The players to watch will be ASU forwards Cali Farquharson and Devin Marshall. The duo have combined to score an electric 12 goals in the team’s first five games. If they can slot in a couple early, the defense-minded Broncos may struggle to keep up. Tickets are $7 and available at www.thesundevils.com or by calling 480-727-0000.
