Looking for something to do this weekend? “Night Owl” is a quick guide to special nights at bars and clubs around town. We’ll give you a few hints re: cover, dress code, music and atmosphere. Fridays mark Fez Fridays at Fez. The ultra-stylish Fez is a great spot for casual lunch and dinner, late-night drinks, and chill music. But if you can only make it out once a week, be sure to stop by on Fridays, when the Downtown bar hosts Fez Fridays with menu including more than 20 specialty cocktails.
Fez Fridays is all about the $3 Vodka Pomegranate Press.
Check out our Fez Friday slideshow here and a full rundown after the jump…
The Place: 3815 N. Central Ave., Phoenix, AZ, 85012
We’re aiming to raise $30,000 by December 31, so we can continue covering what matters most to you. If New Times matters to you, please take action and contribute today, so when news happens, our reporters can be there.
The Time: Every Friday, All Day.
The Cover: None.The Parking: Lot.
The Bar: The feature drink of Fez Fridays is the $3 Vodka Pomegranate Press, a strong but not too tasty mix of vodka, pomegranate juice, club soda and Sprite. The seriously swanky bar offers 22 different $8.95 specialty martinis.
The fixture of the Fez menu is the fresh and fruity g-spot, which includes three versions of grapefruit flavors. The g-spot is only $3 during Fez’s weekly Thirsty Thursday promotion.
The Music: The music in the food, drinks and music slogan is strictly canned dance club beats.
The Style: A highly stylish crowd that fit right in with the modern and urban surroundings. Make sure to don your coolest and most current couture before fezzing it up.

What we loved: Shortly after 10 p.m. the rather tiny bar area started filling up with a warm and welcoming group of regulars. The well-designed decor in combination with the inviting atmosphere gave Fez the feeling of a much larger space.
What we didn’t love: Fez fancies itself a live music space, yet there is really no space for live music at the bar. This is definitely more of a place to grab a snack and a couple of drinks with some friends rather than a place for musical appreciation.
Are we going back? Yes, but maybe next time we’ll check out Thirsty Thursday.
