FilmBar owner Kelly Aubey and Programming Director Steve Weiss announced last night that the downtown film venue is delaying its opening for a week — the first show will run the night of February 10 instead of February 3.
Weiss says the program schedule has been adjusted — Red Chapel and Metropolis will still run first, with Thor at the Bus Stop screening at a later date and Marwencol in March (check out the trailers here).
Straight to Hell Returns is still the Friday/Saturday late night film, according to Weiss.
The 21-and-over independent theater at 815 N. Second Street was originally slated to open in November, but has delayed the opening due to city bureaucratic limbo (read: liquor licensing and building plan paperwork and approval delays).
