We’re all ticking off the days until The Rapture. Date saved, right? Technically, May 21 is just Judgment Day (at least according to some Christian wingnuts), as the walls aren’t supposed to come crumbling down until October. Whew, that’s a relief!

In an effort to make light of this gloomy prediction, Phoenix-based burlesque performers Scandalesque have partnered with local entertainer Austin Head to drop a big one at The Duce. The emceed event — replete with a male gospel quartet, fire breathing, semi-nudity, and Lady Fontayne’s rendition of Madonna’s “Like a Prayer” — was Head’s idea in response to the Family Life Radio billboard campaign.

Scandalesque co-founder Pyrrha will sing Mötley Crüe’s “Shout at the Devil,” with her bustier ablaze, and the reflection off of the other artists’ crystal-encrusted pasties might be intense enough to KO Satan in The Duce’s boxing ring stage. Can we get an AMEN?

VIP tickets include a visit with JC himself upon his arrival and are subject to his actual reappearance (the Bible guarantees it, but no refunds if the Savior is a no-show).
