First Friday and Art Detour 25 in Downtown Phoenix, 3/1/13 It was a huge weekend for art in downtown Phoenix. First Friday saw the openings of exhibitions in galleries around town, and Art Detour gave art fans a chance to check out galleries and art studios throughout the weekend.

International UFO Congress 2013 in Fountain Hills UFO and extraterrestrial fanatics from around the world converged in Fountain Hills over the weekend for the 22nd annual UFO Convention at Fort McDowell Resort and Casino. Speakers discussed the latest evidence of alien activity, while booths sold symbolic and spiritual jewelry, artwork, and more. Fret not, earthlings, aliens haven’t invaded us yet and the search for intelligent life in our solar system continues.
7th Avenue Street Fair and Classic Car Show, 3/2/13 Seventh Avenue between Indian School and Campbell was packed with a diverse group of Phoenicians scoping out Chester’s classic car show and the healthy-living expo, as well as a bevy of local vendors and food trucks on Saturday, March 2.
