While we’ve sworn off purchasing new technology until it can synthesize sandwiches, we’re heartened to know that artists are pushing the boundaries that will almost get us there. The Generative Art lecture and film as part of the “Materialize” exhibition at the Shemer Art Center is Thursday, November 20.
Max Chandler is one of the many national artists featured in “Materialize,” which is focused on art created through 3D printers. Chandler will talk about creating works with robots via computer programming and introduce the film Generative Art.
“Materialize” continues through Thursday, November 27, while Generative Art is presented for one night only at Shemer Art Center, 5005 East Camelback Road, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Admission is free. See more at www.shemerartcenter.org.
Tuesdays-Saturdays, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Starts: Oct. 16. Continues through Nov. 27, 2014
