Entering week three of the Cactus League schedule, irrelevant questions still overshadow what is actually taking place — the hitting, fielding and pitching practice for future starts hoping to make the big league roster, along with certified superstars, preparing for Opening Day, just three weeks hence.

Still, we ask: Do the D-Backs have what it takes to win the Western Division again? Will the Giants rebound after a poor showing in 2011? If not “El Hombre,” what then to call Angel Albert Pujols? Is Brewers reining National League MVP Ryan Braun a lucky dope, or just doped up? Can Mariner Ichiro Suzuki find good sushi in Peoria?

These questions might be answered during the eight games taking place Friday, March 16, including the Diamondbacks take on the White Sox at Scottsdale’s Salt River Fields, and the Brewers battle the Royals at Surprise Stadium. First pitch times vary.
