When you think about it, hot air balloons capture the Halloween holiday pretty perfectly. They’re colorful, almost as if they were in costume, and, like a kid flying on a candy-induced sugar high, there’s no controlling them.
The Balloon Spooktacular at Salt River Fields celebrates this connection with a party combining Halloween and hot air. During the day, you can enjoy tethered hot air balloon rides, costume contests, and a haunted house. Once night falls, 30 specially-shaped balloons lit from within rise from the field as part of the Hot Air Balloon Glow. With stations for trick-or-treating at each one, the kids (and their parents) will resemble unmanageable balloons in no time.
