One new idea for every day in 2011. We’re talking big, small, local, international, in action and on the drawing board. Here’s today’s —  what’s yours?

Birds on Twitter
is an ongoing experiment every winter in Sarnate, Latvia, where a layer of unsalted fat is fixed to a keyboard; as the birds eat, they send messages via their Twitter account, @hungry_birds.

You can watch streaming and recorded videos on the Birds on Twitter website and follow them here, because really, the birds just might type the most insightful 140 characters you read all day
