Harkins Theatres recently announced that it will invest $150 million to upgrade its movie theaters nationwide.
Headquartered in Scottsdale, Harkins is the largest family-owned theater chain in the country, with more than 500 screens. And this multimillion-dollar makeover will introduce new “state-of-the-art amenities” to each theater.
Additions include reclinable lounge seating, lobby bars and lounges, mobile ticketing, and bigger auditoriums with curved screens.
“Reinvestment in our theatres with these new amenities is an effort to show our gratitude to our loyal guests and ensure that we always deliver on our promise,” says Harkins president and CEO Mike Bowers in a press release.
