Let’s get real for a moment, Arizona Diamondbacks fans.
Yes, your hometown heroes are off to a reasonably good start this year and are definitely in the swing of things in the National League West. The hitting’s been pretty decent over the first month of the 2013 season, thanks to numerous hot swats from the likes of Paul Goldschmidt, Aaron Hill, and Gerardo Parra.
And what about Arizona’s pitching? Eh, not so much. It’s been a roller coaster ride to put it mildly. One game will see the D-backs’ starters or the bullpen sucking the big one, and the next night they’ll redeem themselves by getting huge outs.
Here’s hoping that Arizona will have its shizzle straight when the San Francisco Giants invade the Valley for their first visit to Chase Field, 401 East Jefferson Street, this season. After all, the defending World Series champs boast such fearsome sluggers as Angel Pagan, Pablo Sandoval, and Hunter Pence.
