“We had the Charlie Daniels Band out here for Bike Week,” says Chester’s Harley-Davidson’s Marketing Director, Andreanne Depape, “and that sat about 13,000 people.”
That’s some party pad. Depape, who “moved to the front seat” in 1999 with a Road King Classic, now hosts a more manageable crowd of 300 fellow hog riders and sled lusters every Saturday afternoon at Party on the Patio, a free event hosted by Chester’s with proceeds going to charity.
Hogsters can rest their rides under the patio’s canopy, grab some grill grub, demo a new Harley, play games, or root for the rookies on Chester’s state-certified motorcycle training course all while live music including blues, classic covers, and 50’s rock ‘n’ roll blasts in the background.
“You don’t have to have a Harley to be part of the culture,” Depape says of the event’s lively atmosphere. “Some people just want a tee-shirt.”
