Never mind that the now-Arizona Coyotes are holding down sixth place in the Pacific Division, 10 points behind frontrunner Anaheim Ducks, who were recently defeated by Arizona in a shootout. Almost every hockey team makes the playoffs now anyway. Still, there’s plenty of time for AZ to make a strong run, beginning with a match against the equally beleaguered Colorado Avalanche. Coyote goalie Mike Smith has been stopping almost everything lately, while the Avs Alex Tanguay keeps finding the net.

The puck drops 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 25, at Gila River Arena, 9400 West Maryland Avenue in Glendale. Tickets are $30 to $320. Visit coyotes.nhl.com or call 623-772-3800.
