It’s not enough just to own an old house. These days, we must celebrate it.
For desert dwellers whose homes were built in the middle of the last century, that celebration comes in the form of the Modern Phoenix Home Tour + Expo hosted by Modern Phoenix, a clearinghouse and virtual gathering place for fans of mid-century architecture. This year’s model honors Al Beadle with a tour of the architect’s Paradise Gardens tract, as well as a long gander at local mid-century bank designs; a private hosted bus tour of the Dome House in Cave Creek; a hosted visit to Soleri’s Bridges project at Cosanti in Paradise Valley; and an after party at The Vig Uptown.
The expo itself on Saturday offers Modernist products and services related to architecture, interior design, and home renovation.
As of Wednesday, April 7, the Modern Phoenix Home Tour in Paradise Gardens completely sold out. However, interested parties are still welcome to attend the free Modern Phoenix Expo on Saturday, April 10.
