One new idea for every day in 2011. We’re talking big, small, local, international, in action and on the drawing board. Here’s today’s — what’s yours?

England’s Prince William and Kate Middleton may be tying the knot on live television this Friday, April 29, and while more than a few viewers will be breaking out the tissues, celebrating with ridiculously large corgi cakes and having tea in their honor, you’re more likely to find us attempting to knit the cast.

Fiona Gable, known for her knitted takes on pop culture (including Knitivity and ‘Twas the Knits Before Christmas) is back with Knit Your Own Royal Wedding.

The book includes patterns for the Queen, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, Camilla, Prince Harry, the Archbishop of Canterbury, Prince William, Kate Middleton — even a corgi and Westminster Abbey.
