Los Angeles-based movie theater chain Landmark Cinemas announced on Wednesday that it has entered into a long-term lease for the space in Scottsdale Quarter formerly occupied by iPic Theaters.
“We are very excited to extend our brand in a beautifully designed luxury theater in an upscale center,” Landmark Theatres President and COO Paul Serwitz said in a press release. “This announcement is especially joyous for us, coming out of a period of pandemic-induced retraction of business in the world at large.”
Landmark Theatres specializes in showing foreign and independent films. A peek at their online concession menu shows typical theater fare like sodas, candy, and popcorn, plus an espresso bar, Odwalla juice drinks, vegan cookies, and other fancy snacks.
IPic Theaters closed at Scottsdale Quarter in January 2020. The new Landmark Theatres is scheduled to open in fall 2021.
