It was once said (in an old episode of King of the Hill, we’re pretty sure) that you’ve never really eaten a corn chip until you’ve tried it hot off the line. Birds fly a little slower; pretty girls smile a little longer. It’s like the whole world moves just for you.
This is the joy of buying local — the freshest possible ingredients, crafted by familiar hands, combine for an experience impossible to replicate anywhere else. Celebrate local businesses who provide the proverbial hot corn chip at the Certified Local Fall Festival on Saturday, November 10. Now in its eighth year, the festival has drawn more than 6,000 people in past years. It repeats that goodness for 2012 with $1 tickets for local eats, drinks from local breweries and winemakers, and gift bags for the first 500 attendees.
Sat., Nov. 10, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., 2012
