Mesa’s Evermore Nevermore Resurfaces as an Online Resource for Alternative Artists and Events

When Bob and Debbie Leeper closed the doors of their quirky Evermore Nevermore in December, they promised they’d be back (in one form or another). Two months later, the couple is back in action. 
There’s no storefront for what used to house locally crafted comic books, leather bracers and chain maille, Steampunk sculptures, corsets, T-shirts and accessories in downtown Mesa. Instead, the Leepers are storing their support for the geek community and occasional merchandise sales online.

“Our new webpage is our first step towards continuing our support of the Arizona alternative art community,” the two write. “Utilizing our accumulated network of web and social media resources, Evermore Nevermore lives on as Arizona’s Pop Culture & Alternative Art Network!”

According to the couple, the Evermore Nevermore website will be built and updated to support the growing alternative community in the East Valley. 
The two will still be coordinating and participating in Mesa’s Second Friday’s, Encredicon, and Steampunk Street, will be gathering information and contact info for their ever-growing alternative network, and will be selling wares and artwork through their online storefront. 
Currently for sale are designs by Alchemy Empire and a collection of signed novels by local Young Adult author Lisa McMann.

This Wednesday, Evermore Nevermore and Queen’s Pizzeria will host Republi-CON, a political art and debate, which will coincide with the Republican presidential candidate debate happening down the street at Mesa Arts Center. 
Republi-CON will feature opinions from The Klute!, Amazing Arizona Comic owner and Nerdvana contributor Russ Kazmierczak, Steve Failla, and David St. Albans, who will talk Main Street economics, among other topics from 6 to 10 p.m.. More info here.
