Looking for something to do this week? “Night Owl” is a quick guide to special nights at bars and clubs around town. We’ll give you a few hints re: cover, dress code, music and atmosphere. Sundays mark Metalhead at Martini Ranch.
The mock-rockers aren’t the only thing that the evening has going for it though. The event features a fun environment, a great crowd and a few decent drink specials.
Check out a full slideshow here and a rundown after the jump…
What we loved: This was not a typical Sunday night. Metalhead kept the place packed and rocking until well into the evening. The scantily clad go-go dancers poured a little sugar onto the evening and helped bring the glam-metal era to life. The $3 beer prices weren’t too bad either. What we didn’t love: The guys in Metalhead have completely recreated a 1980’s Los Angeles metal club environment in every way except for one, the incessant mentioning of their facebook page. The repeated request for “likes” was worthy of just the opposite.
