Much of Andy Warhol’s New York has been romanticized, glorified, captured in so many Studio 54 and Factory snapshots. But its ugliness is explored in John Schlesinger’s grim look at a pair of struggling hustlers in Midnight Cowboy. Phoenix Art Museum screens the acclaimed drama at 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 5. The movie’s part of PAM’s ongoing Trash Cinema Series, presented in conjunction with the “Andy Warhol: Portraits” exhibition, on view through Sunday, June 21, at 1625 North Central Avenue. Tickets to the screening are $5 for museum members and $10 for non-members. Visit www.phxart.org or call 602-257-1880.
