One new idea for every day in 2011. We’re talking big, small, local, international, in action, and on the drawing board. Here’s today’s — what’s yours?

On a shelf in the Parisian bookstore Shakespeare and Company, Olympia Le-Tan, Spike Jonze, and Simon Cahn created and directed a short, spooky love story.
Mourir Auprès de Toi (To Die By Your Side), at just over six minutes, is their stop-motion starring felt characters of classic novels. You can watch video above and learn how to create your own stop-motion this week at Bookmans
More event details after the jump … Happy Halloween!

Sailbear Labs‘ class (open to 12- to 18-year-olds) will be an opportunity to learn stop-motion basics with Play-Doh at Bookmans, 8034 N. 19th Ave., from 6 to 7 p.m.. No experience required and admission is free.
