If there’s one thing uniting the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Los Angeles Dodgers, it’s that neither team has accomplished much on the diamond this year. The Dodgers’ 2010 season will be best remembered for the uncomfortably public legal battle between owner Frank McCourt and his estranged wife Jamie McCourt. This gives L.A. the edge over the D-backs, whose season has been every bit as memorable as Gregg Olson, the embattled closer that played for both L.A. and AZ.
On Friday, September 24, the Dodgers roll into Chase Field to start a three-game set with AZ. While neither team harbors playoff hopes, we’d be remiss if we didn’t point out that the series, which continues through Sunday, September 26, will be your last chance to watch the D-backs play at home this year.
Thank God for that.
