There’s a lot of Latin food here in the Valley, but Nuevo Latino specifically means Latin American food that’s been re-invigorated for a modern clientele. It’s not exactly traditional, but it can still take diners on a culinary journey through the Latin American region.

On Tuesday, July 23, the Herb Box will host a three-course dinner designed to do just that. The Summer Supper Club: Nuevo Latino dinner menu includes such highlights as a black bean and manchego-stuffed pupusa masa griddlecake as well as caramelized plantains with brown sugar and cinnamon. The meal also comes with a glass of wine.

Dinner costs $30 a person and is available at Herb Box’s locations at SouthBridge, 7134 East Stetson Drive, and DC Ranch on Market Street, 20707 North Pima Road. For more information, to make reservations, and find other Summer Supper Club dates and menus call 480-289-6160 (SouthBridge location), 480-289-6180 (DC Ranch) or visit www.theherbbox.com.
