*Hula’s Modern Tiki, 4700 North Central Avenue, is hosting its first ever Halloween party. Dubbed Freaky Tiki, the bash starts at 7 p.m. and includes costume contests, drink specials, and classic horror films on a projection screen. Admission is free. See www.freakytiki.eventbrite.com.
*Thunderbird Paseo Park, 6011 West Thunderbird Road in Glendale, hosts a Ghosts and Goblins 5k Run and Walk. The family- and kid-friendly event starts at 8 a.m. Participation costs $12 to $15. Call 623-362-8438.
