Storytelling’s all the rage, and Space 55 is getting in on the action with the monthly event Storyline, during which “the themes of our lives intersect.” In collaboration with Lawn Gnome Publishing’s Aaron Hopkins-Johnson, the blackbox will host a pair of events featuring two yarn-spinners’ takes on June’s theme: Bad Buddhist.

Dan Hull will delve into his 25 years as a practicing Buddhist to tell “the love story of one cynic’s attempt to sincerely embrace the great mystery,” and Rachel Sherman will share her own trip through the divine and the absurd — as a sleepwalker.

Tickets are $10 to the 8 p.m. event on Fridays June 13 and 20 at 636 East Pierce Street. Visit www.space55.org to reserve your spot.

Fri., June 13, 8 p.m.; Fri., June 20, 8 p.m., 2014
