Show up, grab wine, learn a skill.
That’s the premise of Katherine Thornhill, Teresa Wilson, and Misha West’s upscale educational events series Pith+Marrow, which launched earlier this year. After a quick summer break, the trio is back with a fall series of classes that’ll appeal to anyone with crafty aspirations and an affinity for flowers — whether your thumbs are green or gray.

Each of the founders brings a different perspective to the project. Wilson runs Camelback Flowershop, Thornhill produces weddings via Lucky & In Love, and West works in creative direction and styling. Together they launched Pith+Marrow and hosted a series of Dutch-style floral courses starting in April of 2014.

This fall, the classes will shift focus and diversify, starting with a class focused on arranging succulents in boxes on Tuesday, August 19, (location to be determined). Following that will be an introduction to floral design on September 9, a watercolor 101 course with Andrea Merican on September 29, a “flowercamp” class for parents and kids on October 21. Also on the schedule is a three-part fall floral series set for October 7, November 4, and December 2.
Classes range in cost from $150 to $225 each, with admission including light bites, drinks, materials, and a takeaway gift. Registration is now open via www.pithmarrow.com.
