Welcome to the Morning Buzz, a catch-up on interesting happenings around the city and country and a quick guide to what (and who) to keep your eyes on. We’ll be here, first thing every weekday, to get you going. Here’s what’s buzzing this morning:
This week in supposedly popular television shows using Craigslist as a casting room comes the announcement of “Secretly Pregnant.”
And, you guessed it, producers are looking for potential stars who are keeping the bun in the oven behind lock and key. (Fair warning: You’re only going to be able to keep the secret for so long … especially if you’re on a “popular” television show.)
Producers at Gigantic TV are currently looking for women who are hiding their pregnancies from friends, family, or coworkers.
When news happens, Phoenix New Times is there —
Your support strengthens our coverage.
We’re aiming to raise $30,000 by December 31, so we can continue covering what matters most to you. If New Times matters to you, please take action and contribute today, so when news happens, our reporters can be there.
“In this popular series, we will follow women as they figure out how best to tell people about their pregnancies,” the ad reads. “Whatever your reason, we want to know why you are making this choice and how you plan to let the people in your life know.”
And what better way to let them know than through the Gigantic television show. Those interested can email casting@gigantic.tv with their names, due dates, ages, locations, phone numbers, photos, and a brief summary of why they are hiding their pregnancies and from whom.
The ad notes all submissions are confidential … until, of course, you’re large live on camera. More info here.
