With all of the distractions at the movie theater — people jawing on phones, crying toddlers, noisy snack scarfings — it’s a joy to hear people shout a well-timed zing at the silver screen. The masterful wiseacres of RiffTrax will get beamed across the country on Thursday, August 16, to tackle one of the worst movies in existence.

The putrid picture show is Manos: The Hands of Fate, the 1966 jumble of awful writing, bad acting, and technical ineptitude concerning a family roadtrip that crosses paths with a mystical, malevolent cult. While the B-movie originally received a supremely hilarious beatdown via Mystery Science Theater 3000, the RiffTrax crew of Michael J. Nelson, Kevin Murphy, and Bill Corbett (MST3K alums themselves) hasconcocted some all-new, guffaw-inducing commentary.
