OK, how about this: since June 21, the Arizona Rookie League has been in full swing at various spring-training ballparks throughout the Valley. The three-division, twelve-team league feature bunches of ripe talents that are trying to show folks that they’re Major League Baseball worthy.

Games slated for Monday, July 12, include the Mariners versus the Athletics at Peoria Sports Complex, 16101 North 83rd Avenue; the Brewers hosting the Indians at Maryvale Baseball Park, 3600 North 51st Avenue; the Angels and Reds at Tempe Diablo Stadium, 2200 West Alameda Drive; the Giants taking on the Padres at Scottsdale Stadium, 7408 East Osborn Road; and the Cubs and Dodgers playing all nicey-nice at Mesa’s HoHoKam Stadium, 1235 North Center Street.
