One new idea for every day in 2011. We’re talking big, small, local, international, in action and on the drawing board. Here’s today’s — what’s yours?

You might be able to find Stephane Guisard and Jose Francisco Salgado surrounded by some seriously high-tech equipment at the Very Large Telescope in the Atacama Desert in Chile.

The two are avid astrophotographers with an aim to communicate science through art, and to give the world a glimpse of the solar system through high dynamic range imaging, as well as time-lapse, infrared, fisheye, and stereoscopic photography.
