Poor Heard Museum staff. There’s nothing worse than hauling to work when you know the rest of the world is lying around like lazy bums. Well, actually, there is something worse: you might show up to work and no one is there.

We don’t want to do that to the beloved Heard Museum folks during Holidays at the Heard, now, do we? The six-day event – which kicks off from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, December 26 – features artist demonstrations, music, dance performances, book signings, hands-on activities, and mountains of melt-in-your-mouth fry bread. So why would you stay away anyway?

Today’s activities at the Heard include dance performances by Yellowhouse Indian Dancers and illustrator Sylvia Long autographing her books Because You Are My Baby and Ten Little Rabbits.
Dec. 26-Jan. 3, 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m., 2009
