This isn’t exactly top-shelf sports analysis, but Arizona United tend to struggle when they don’t score goals. In the four league matches where United managed to score, they’ve earned 10 points. The problem is that United have been skunked in their other five matches. The soccer squad’s management is hoping they’ve addressed this problem by acquiring 19 year-old striker Benji Lopez on loan from Real Salt Lake. Lopez has no professional record, but he scored goals for the US Soccer Development Academy last year.

United will need Lopez to be in top form for Saturday’s match against the Rochester Rhinos at Peoria Sports Complex. The Rhinos are one of the teams ahead of Arizona in the race for the playoffs, so a win—or, at least, a draw—is critical.

The game kicks off at 7 p.m. on June 14. Tickets start at $7 and are available through www.peoriasportscomplex.com or by calling 623-773-8700.
