For every degree the temperature rises above 100, we become five percent more likely to flip off our fellow man. That’s not us, Phoenix, and there’s no point in waiting six months to change it.
A cheery oasis awaits at Practical Art, where holiday lovers have organized a “one night balancing act of naughty and nice” dubbed Christmas in July. Sip on mint chocolate chip martinis and spiced rum, and inhale festive cookies, as you slowly forget about your summer diet, while perusing the hundreds of crafty local vendors. Now in its second year, organizers know exactly what desert dwellers want: snow. Lots of it. And this year, they’re bringing out the snow machine to cool down a slice of this city on Friday.
