While everyone else is hanging on to The-Dream’s latest release and copying Erykah Badu’s new ‘do, you can’t let go of your Kool and The Gang vinyl or your dated afro.

Seize the golden opportunity to relive the glory days of ’70s soul and R&B at Golden Again. Special guests Kim E. Fresh and DJ Speek Greene (the former personal DJ to hip-hop musician Jaz-O) will spin African disco, Brazilian rhythms, tunes by gospel-singer-turned-disco-diva Alicia Myers, and The System. So, why should we bother with old-school funk? “Because it’s the origins of anything soulful today,” says Greene.
